Dan Swartz
Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture/Landscape Design from the University of Illinois in 1993. Upon graduation he joined Milieu Design, Inc. in Wheeling, IL. In 1996 Dan joined the BrownWoods team and has steadily taken on new responsibilities and in 2009 became President of the firm. During his tenure with BrownWoods, Dan has gained experience in all aspects of the landscape process. His inspired approach to outdoor spaces, along with the clients’ needs and desires, creates dramatic solutions that are functional and beautiful.
Paul Littleton
Paul obtained a master degree of landscape architecture from the University of Illinois in 2015, then joined Brown Woods the following year. Before pursuing his passion in landscape architecture he enjoyed a successful career as a civil engineer engaged in sustainable site development and pavement design. At Brown Woods, he is able to utilize his knowledge of both professional disciplines to lead challenging projects in both residential and commercial contexts. He is passionate about blending formal and free form design elements together with original plant palettes to accentuate the unique character of even the most challenging sites.
Cyndy Ross
Cyndy began working for BrownWoods in 1991 and has gained experience in all aspects of the firm. She has performed tasks from installing and maintaining landscapes to processing the contracts and invoices. Along with her duties as Office Manager, she has added Plant Material buyer to her responsibilities. Working closely with the landscape architects and designers and a myriad of growers, Cyndy assures that you will receive the highest quality plant material for the most competitive price. Tabatha Haun
Tabatha began working on our Maintenance Crew during the 2023 season. After several years of working and managing in upscale catering, she was excited to get back into the horticulture field. Tabatha received her Horticulture/Landscape Design degree from Parkland College in 2003 and has many years of experience in various forms of the field. She worked for several years as the Nursery Manager at Illini FS Farmtown and has been a grower of organic micro greens, vegetables and herbs at Tiny Greens. She also is enthusiastic about growing plants by seed and maintaining beautiful landscapes. Tabatha is passionate about learning and is excited to tell you about our maintenance program. Her goal is making your experience with BrownWoods an efficient and high quality one.
